To have fun taking the Agent graphically where it has never been before, the Addictive Collection is back in 2011. As with last year, the idea with this collection is to give Rome’s artists the freedom to break widely from the aesthetic personality of the Agent. The Syndicate is a huge part of who Rome is. For outerwear design, binding design, boot design, t-shirt design, and particularly board graphic design, art is reviewed and critiqued over and over by the riders in the Syndicate—team riders, local riders who test Rome, sales reps, shop staff, and Rome employees. Art is put forward, torn down, and revised until most of the Syndicate backs the design. The Addictive Collection is different. For this one piece of creativity, we lock the Syndicate out of the room. We let the artists do what they want. The result is the Addictive Collection.
